Webble

Hello.  I finally sorted my website out.  After realising that I actually know nothing about making a site from scratch I decided to go with Cargo, they make nice sites.  Have a look at my site HERE and let me know what you think; any glaring mistakes I may have made.  There might even be some work there that you haven't seen before.

Rivers

Apologies for the lack of updates - will post some new stuff up as soon as.  If you're interested I do now have my Tree Time Tales illustration for sale as a print in my shop.  Hopefully be adding some more items there soon as well.  Lots to do!

Bear Sicking Up Colourful Diamonds

Couple of drawings from this evening that I thought I'd share.  A bear and an elk.  Yes it is.

Old & New

Here's the finished poster for the Cheltenham Illustration Awards using my illustration, for which entries are now open with the theme - Tree Time Tales [don't ask me what it means - I had to have it explained to me].  Students or recent graduates can download an application form HERE.

Also, this illustration from a loooong time ago (I think it was in the summer) for the amazing Illustration Rally as part of their European rally is now online for you to look at.  Definitely have a look through the rallies, if you haven't seen them already, as there is some real nice work on there!

40 Pencil Leads Later...

Excuse the horrible quality phone picture but I thought I'd give you a little look at a drawing I completed last week.  Original size is about 1m x 1m and I'm quite pleased with it when seen at that scale.  It'll be part of a series (a series within a series, if you will...) that I'm still working on and have some pretty big plans for.  Some scans will appear at some point but for now this will just have to do.

The Menagerie

I feel like it's probably about time that you were introduced to the menagerie (I'm aware that a lot of you may already have been).  I got a phonecall from my Mother the other day saying that I needed to visit home to see the latest addition.  I get the distinct feeling that my parents are just getting dogs so that I visit them more often.  I'm not complaining though, because would you just look at her?  Spent the last two days playing - it's been very good.

They're very good and I wish I had some pets where I currently live.  I think some rats would be a good addition.  Apologies for the long, irrelevant post - should probably upload some work, really...

My Life in Cat Years

A poster for a film some friends just finished making.  The film is called 'My Life in Cat Years' and is rather beautiful.  You might be able to find out more information from following their twitter account, but then again you might not...

AnGHOULême

Hello.  I have returned from the extremely lovely Angoulême BD Festival.  Many beautiful things have been seen/bought and many exceptional people have been met.  Also sold some bits and made some, possibly very exciting, contacts for the future.  Been a very good week.  Plus (!) I got to stay over at the marvellous Sandra Dieckmann's for a couple of nights before which is always a treat.

Some photos of our stand (stolen from Gemma Sheldrake's facebook):

Some beautiful houses and views -

And some Lion Bar cereal!  Exceptional.  Although I did just have a bowl and it isn't quite as life-altering as I was hoping.

All-in-all a very good trip!  Very much looking forward to making my way there again next year.  Although perhaps not staying in a boarding school/prison next time.  Makes me want to do lots more fairs like this - definitely something I need to look into a bit more.
