Weiner

The winner of the mixtape giveaway, chosen at random last night, is Lustrous Chemistry! His chosen song, which I presume he doesn't mind me sharing, was John Barry's A Dolls House, which pleases me greatly as it is an excellent piece of music and I look forward to making the mixtape!

Making Progress

If you're in Cheltenham this week you should definitely come to Beechwood Arcade where I am part of an exhibition featuring some very talented folks.  The exhibition's called Making Progress and runs from Monday - Sunday, more info here.  The opening is on Monday 4 - 6pm (it's in a shopping centre so we get kicked out then, sadly - but you could then move on to another opening featuring more talented folk afterwards)

Animating (I'm animating at the moment, can't remember whether I said) is slow!  But looking kind of nice.  2 months to finish it.  Achievable?  Maybe...

How Long?

The collaborative project that I have been working on with Sandra Dieckmann (for aaaaaages) is now available to purchase!  Don't know whether I've shown the final images before - so here they are.  It's been a privilege to work alongside such a talented person and I am very proud to be able to call her a good friend now, as well.  Look out for more collaborative projects between us in the future!

Originals

I really don't like speaking about money.  Needless to say, times are pretty tough!  So, inspired by Sandra Dieckmann, I have decided to sell a few originals (you can still find a few of Sandra's originals in her shop).

Have a look in my SHOP to see if anything takes your fancy.  Got these few listed at the moment - I may add more in the future.  A few from this year and a few from last year - some may be new to you!

Melon Shrub Part Deux

Poster for the upcoming event for the launch of Melon Shrub 2, a zine created by Jack Burston and Murray Somerville.  The launch party is going to be an excellent event and I recommend that you be there! - I will be doing my best to attend!  Also have a look at Murray's blog to see, not only his excellent work, but also a couple more posters created by Iamanoctopus, Sandra Dieckmann and (soon) Natsuki Otani!

Moosak (Giveaway: Part 2)

Feels like about time for another giveaway, no?  I'm aware that things have been a little dull on here recently, for which I apologise, so here's a thing!

GIVEAWAY TIME

O.K., this time, up for grabs is a mixtape put together by myself and some sort of one-of-a-kind packaging for said mixtape (it'll be a CD...) and any other goodies I may feel like including!  Hopefully this sounds appealing - I quite like the idea of it.

All you have to do is leave a comment below stating either your favourite song (that might be a bit tricky) or just any song that you are really enjoying at the moment!

The winner will be picked at random and their mixtape will be based on their chosen song, i.e. I will try and make a tape that I think you'll like based on your choice of song!  Testing my musical knowledge, you see.

It's very hard to be certain about these things (what does 'favourite mean, anyway?) but I think that this might be my favourite song of all time (also strange as it was only released 2 years ago) if you're interested.

Telefon Tel Aviv - The Birds

So leave a comment below basically just stating any song you really like!

I'll pick the winner at random in a couple of weeks' time so get your comments in before March 20th!  I look forward to giving all of your songs a listen!

A Weekend Retrospective (Kind Of..)

Excellent news - you can now buy some of my prints and books and objects from the excellent START Space shop in Bristol.  Went down there on Thursday to deliver the wares and am very excited to have them as the first actual stockist of any of my stuff. Nice times.

Also, this Friday I was invited down to London by the lovely people at Ballad Of to draw on some t-shirts at their magazine event.  I would have mentioned it before it happened but I didn't seem to get around to it, sorry.  T'was a very nice evening and a privilege to be drawing alongside the extremely talented Erd, Murray, Sandra and Natsuki once again.

These photos are all stolen from the Ballad Of facebook page.  Have a look through the rest of the album here if you fancy.
