Cards

Designed my first ever set of Christmas cards this year, though they are not all that 'Christmassy' they are now available to purchase through my shop HERE.

Each is a Risograph printed concertina, blank on the reverse for your own message. Printed on recycled stock, with recycled envelopes and biodegradable sleeves.

Hope you like them.

Tohu Va Vohu / Trailer

For those that have been here a while, you may remember that I was working on an animation a while back. Well it is now finished and I am very pleased to share the trailer with you here.

Title: Tohu Va Vohu
Direction/Animation: Jamie Mills
Music: Glacis
Running time: 5:30

Thankyou so much to Glacis for creating the beautiful score for it which is available to purchase here.

I'm currently in the process of applying for festivals with the finished piece; as well as this there will be a physical release, including a book, DVD and CD which should be very nice.

Hope you like it, comments, feedback, sharing and the like are greatly appreciated.

TRACES - Landscape

This was the piece made for the Traces exhibition a couple of weeks ago. The exhibition was recreating a Victorian era public house and this piece is roughly based on a painting from the time by Francis E. Jamieson.

The original drawing is now available to purchase from my shop.

August Exhibitions

Two pieces of work in two different exhibitions this month.

Firstly:

When / 17-19th August
Where / Secret location, follow @traceslondon for clues
Website / traces-london.co.uk

Every story, however hidden, leaves a trace... The objects we leave behind, speak fragile broken sentences to those who come across them later. Have you ever stood in a museum and longed to make contact with those stories, by touching the objects so tantalisingly close behind the glass? Or wandered through a dilapidated and empty house, wishing you could see it as the last inhabitants left it?

For four days in August 2012, 'Traces' will enable the public to do just that. 'Traces' will take a neglected old building and bring it alive with the smells, tastes, touches and sounds of days gone by. Painstakingly researched, 'Traces', is an immersive and theatrical art and design showcase, that will map and elaborate on the actual stories of the (now long-dead) inhabitants of our event's secret location.

When / 22nd August, 6pm 'til late
Where / CARGO, Shoreditch, London
Website / hellohead.co.uk

For one night only, CARGO will be holding an illustration exhibition comprising of an eclectic mix of work from 60 illustrators and designers.
Curated by illustrators Lucy Joy and Rosie Shorter the exhibition began as a portrait-swap. Each illustrator's name was picked from a hat and paired with another at random. Tasked with drawing the other in their own unique style the results are beautiful, weird and wonderful!
There is some fantastic work on show from the talents that are Jack Teagle, Holly Wales, Bob London, Gemma Correll, Pat Perry, Telegramme Studio, Pomme Chan, Kate Copeland, Pietari Posti, Miss Led, Tim McDonagh, Sandra Diekmann and many more.
The night is bursting at the seams with fun and creativity for all. There will be a silent art auction of all the prints (so bid your max and cross your fingers!) Live portrait drawing, a pop up shop, plus an interactive set and lots more. Be sure to bring your pennies as all money raised goes towards the National Autistic Society (NAS).
